Walt Disney is making Darby O'Gill and the Little People and he consults with Hollywood's number one Irishman Pat O'Brien regarding the "little people".
O'Brien sings a leprechaun song and recites a banshee poem. Pst suggests that Walt go to Ireland to capture a leprechaun to play the leprechaun in his film.
Walt travels to Ireland and goes to a library for research. The librarian recounts how the leprechaun came into being including King Brian.
Walt decides that he wants to capture King Brian. The librarian sends hip to Rothcullen to meet Darby O'Gill.
Darby welcomes Walt and tells of his adventures with King Brian. Walt convinces him to help him find King Brian.
The two catch up with one of King Brian's lieutenants. Walt makes his wish to see King Brian. The leprechaun offers him a pot of gold but Walt only wants to meet King Brian.
King Brian appears and Walt offers him a part in his new movie. Darby tells Walt of his first visit to King Brian's throne room, then of another meeting where Darby captured King Brian. Walt offers both men the lead roles in his film.
Walt returns to Hollywood and visits Pat O'Brien and tells him of his adventure. Walt tells the story of the Gameskeeper and Katie (Darby's daughter). Walt gives Pat a gift from King Brian.
